Now, I ask you not to condemn the man I loved without knowing all the details. What he did was inexcusable and unforgettable, yes, but I wanted to forgive.
What I struggled with was why he left me scared and broken, without a fight.
With no goodbye, no closure.
And without closure, there was no moving on.
Visions of her would haunt my dreams for all eternity. That night destroyed my world and changed my life forever.
This was Maci Dillons debut novel and oh my was it an awesome read!! I really felt for Chloe, she met and fell in love with Will who was 10yrs older than her, but age is just a number when your in love. The heat and attraction between these two was off the charts HOT!! They had a loving strong relationship until insecurities got in the way and changed things between Will and Chloe, I loved how it wasn’t about these two getting back together, but about the closure they both needed to heal and move on, to get their happy ever-after. I can’t wait to see what happens with Chloe in the next book i really want her to have a HEA, she so deserves it!! The bar is set pretty high and I’m sure Maci Dillon will deliver. This read was super HOT and very emotional, the storyline will pull you in from the very beginning and I’m sure you will fall in love with Chloe just as I did.
Amazing 5 STAR read, Congratulations and well done Maci this is definitely gonna be a big hit!!

- When did you first realise you wanted to be a writer?
As a little girl with a vivid imagination, you could always find me writing. I always dreamed of being a published author. A few years ago my love of reading was ignited, as was my desire to write and fulfil my childhood dream.
- Q. How long does it take you to write a book?
It doesn’t take me long to get words down, the trouble is making the time to sit and write. I work better in long stints of focused time so writing a little here or there is more difficult for me. Fail To Fight, I started last year. I got the first 5000 words out in less than three hours. I didn’t look at it again until a year later, but all up I’ve spent about 3 weeks on it, include edits etc
- Q. Where do you get you’re information or idea’s for your books?
Life experiences, stories I’ve heard and ‘people watching’ mixed with imagination.
- Q. What do you like to do when you are not writing?
I spend most of my time working, I’m a PA to multiple authors and some non-book related clients also, doing PA and marketing work. When I do take some time out though, I love to eat out with my kids and catch up with friends for a drink. To relax, I like to read dirty romances and catch up on some tv shows.
- Q. What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?
For a super organized person (some would say I’m anal about things) I have a very disorganized writing pattern. I don’t plan (at all) and I often start writing in the middle of the story. I’ll flick back and forward writing different scenes as they come to me or if I get bored with one. My sex scenes are often written first. Then I add in the emotional parts of the scene once I’ve come to know my characters better. I then bridge my scenes.
- Q. Do you have any suggestions that might help other authors?
I think I’m too new to offer any advice but as with all things I would say consistency and continual development is key. Marketing of course, is probably the biggest part to being an indie author so I’d say, create a decent platform before you decide to publish.
- Q. What are your current projects? Can you share a little with us?
Fail To Fight (Lessons in Love #1) is my debut, releasing on Nov 22nd. It’s about ex-lovers Chloe & Will who seek forgiveness and closure after a decade apart. They share an unexpected, and very heated night of passion and sexual debauchery. It’s an emotional story of unrequited love, where familiarity and memories spark new fires and bring to the surface an undeniable force between them. You’ll have to read to find out if one night together will ever by enough J
It’s available for preorder on iBooks, B&N and Kobo. Amazon only on the day of release.
- Q. Do you have anything in particular you would like to say to your readers?
Readers are the most important people in an author’s world and I’m honored at the support I’ve received leading up to my debut release. If I do one thing well on this journey, I hope it’s interacting with and looking after my readers in the best possible way.
